As a makeup artist it is important to showcase my service in a visually appealing way. I have built my portfolio using my iphone 7 plus to photograph my work.
The humble camera phone has come a long way.
Here are my 5 best tips when taking photos:
Use natural light as much as possible, otherwise invest in a ring light
I use portrait mode on my iphone 7 plus, It blurs out my background and brings forward the main focus
Don’t just look at what you’re photographing look at your background. Is it cluttered? Will it take away from the main focus?
Use apps, instagram have great options like stop- motion and slow motion and snapchat have really good filters
Take different angles, don’t just be front on. Move around, get high/low
